About Us

Bridge Road Medical Centre is a member of the Seaforth and Litherland Primary Care Network (S&LPCN)

Bridge Road Medical Centre was founded in 1911 and is the oldest practice in Litherland, a suburban area some five miles north of Liverpool. Our purpose built surgery was constructed in 1989 and extended a few years later. The practice list size is around 7500, with most patients living within a mile and a half of the practice in Litherland, Seaforth, Bootle or Waterloo. We have four partners.

  • Dr Martin Vickers (Senior Partner)
  • Dr Neill Carroll (Trainer)
  • Dr Naveen Sahu (Trainer)
  • Dr Emma McDonnell

We feel we work closely as a team with our clinical colleagues who include three practice nurses, district nurses, health visitors, midwives, dietician and counsellor. Our administrative staff includes a practice manager, two secretaries and a number of receptionists. In addition we usually have two GP Registrars.

The building has nine consulting rooms (two of which are dedicated solely for the GP Registrars next door to the Trainer’s room), a treatment/minor surgery room, a large meeting room/practice library plus administrative rooms upstairs and a reception and waiting room downstairs. There is a small garden to the front and rear of the building as well as an adjacent car park with reserved spaces for doctors.
